Course Meeting Times:
Lectures: 1.5 sessions / week, 1.5 hours/session
Sections: 1 session / weeks, 1.5 hours/session


Goals 

  • Understand the basics dynamic systems
  • Identify the elements of mechanical and electrical systems modelling
  • Identify the elements of thermal and fluid systems modelling
  • Understand the time response characteristics of dynamic systems.
  • Understand the frequency response characteristics of dynamic systems.
  • Apply modeling and simulation fundamentals to dynamic systems
  • Model mechanical and electrical systems 
  • Model thermal and fluid systems 
  • Simulate dynamic systems in time domain
  • Simulate dynamic systems in frequency domain.


Examinations:
The final exam is 3 hours long.

Sections:
The purpose of the recitations is to give students experience in the subject by working out examples and expanding on the material presented in the lectures. Attendance and participation in the recitations is obligatory.
