Motion control is a field in which the position or velocity of machines are controlled using different actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, ... etc.). Motion control is important for robotics and CNC machines tools control. In ASU Mechatronics department there's a motion control lab that has devices such as:

  • Quanser system for motion control.
  • Articulated robotic arm.
  • Servo motors and drives.
