Biography
Prof. Magdy Abdel Hameed, the Chairman of Mechatronics Department, was the coordinator of "Mekatron" Tempus Project that has estbalished the Mechatronics Lab in the duration of Sept. 2005- Sept. 2008. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 1994 from Ain Shams University and his dissertation was "A New Design Approach for Mechatronics Control System". He worked as a Visiting Professor at several universities around the world. He has superviosed Twelve M.Sc. Postgraduates and Four Ph.D. postgraduates students. The main areas of his research are Mechatronics, Control, Discrete Event Systems and Automation of Industrial Manufacturing Systems
